Around the world, approximately 100 million people live without permanent homes. People need homes for physical reasons (such as protection from the elements), psychological reasons (such as having a familiar place in which to be relaxed or to perform rituals) and social reasons (such as nurturing relationships). Adequate, affordable and accessible housing is an important justice issue in Canada and Bermuda and around the world.
